Special envelopes signify good fortune. It is a little known fact that good fortune can also be found inside a sachet. Simply open and mix with a handful of crisp red peppers to create the perfect plate of Szechuan Pepper-ed beef. If you make a little extra you’ll be able to pack a prosperous lunch too.


  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.66lb (300g) beef steak, thinly sliced
  • 0.11lb (50g) sugar snap peas
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 tin of sliced water chestnuts
  • 3.7 fl. oz. (110ml) Blue Dragon Szechuan Pepper Stir Fry Sauce


  1. Heat the oil in a wok and add the beef strips, stir fry for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the vegetables and stir fry for another minute.
  3. Pour over the Szechuan Pepper Sauce and simmer for 1 minute.
  4. Serve with rice or noodles.


Make sure your oil is piping hot before you put ingredients into the pan or wok.
